Help needed please

Hi folks geoff asked me to ask you, we are getting a new to us caravan from the owners of Brandy wharf, but the roof has been sealed badly and there is way to much silicon sealant is there anyway we can get this off please ?

Peel it off? Undo the Rails then re-mastic them properly.

If it doesnt peel. then scrape it off using a plastic card or spatula (it does get very sticky) then clean the whole area with white spirit let it dry and then reseal it an refit the trim.
remove any extra that squeezes out with spatula and small amount of White Spirit.. take your time and it should be simple.

Thank you for that it will be very handy for Geoff, he plans to do it in the next few days, just waiting for it to warm up a bit lol
