campsites york way

hi we are coming from scotland and would like to camp in or around york. we went to a campsite last year but it is now closed. something with a pub on it or at least walking distance to a village or town thanks

Welcome to MFC.
We've stayed at Naburn Lock and found it ok.
Facilities were a bit poor, but it was a few years ago now.....they may have improved.
Pub is about half a mile away.

Are you a Caravan Club member by any chance? What time of the year are you looking at?

we are thinking july august time
